Russian Red - Seed Garlic

'Russian Red' is a hardy, vigorous and attractive garlic. It grows wide blue-green leaves and produces bulbs that are a cream color dappled in purple striping. The bulbs contain 5-8 large purplish brown cloves.

'Russian Red' is classified as a Marbled Purple Stripe and has distinctly different traits than true Purple Stripe garlics. Notably, Marbled Purple Stripes require less winter chill to grow to their full potential than most other hardneck garlic, making them a great option for growers in climates with more mild winters.
